Scope and focus of this journal are related to the conceptual and practical studies about the Islamic economics, finance, business, accounting, policy, zakat, waqf, and microfinance.

Peer Review Process

TIFBR: Tazkia Islamic Finance and Business Review receives many more submissions than can be published. Therefore, we ask peer-reviewers to keep in mind that every paper that is accepted means that another good paper must be rejected. To be published in TIFBR: Tazkia Islamic Finance and Business Review, a paper should meet four general criteria:

  1. Provides strong evidence for its conclusions.
  2. Novel (we do not consider meeting report abstracts and preprints on community servers to compromise novelty).
  3. Of importance to scientists in the specific field.
  4. Ideally, interesting to researchers in other related disciplines.

In general, to be acceptable, a paper should represent an advance in understanding likely to influence thinking in the field. There should be a discernible reason why the work deserves the visibility of publication in a TIFBR: Tazkia Islamic Finance and Business Review.

Plagiarism Check

To screen plagiarism, editorial board employ Turnitin and search engine, e.g. Google scholar. Moreover, authors are required to make a statement that their papers are original, free of plagiarism and have not been published elsewhere.

Review Process

The research article submitted to this journal will be peer-reviewed at least 1 (one) expert reviewer. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript. The papers have undergone a double-blind review process and proof-reading before are published. Final decision of articles acceptance will be made by Editors according to reviewers comments. Publication of accepted articles including the sequence of published articles will be made by Editor in Chief by considering sequence of accepted date and geographical distribution of authors as well as thematic issue.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.



This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...


About the Journal

Tazkia Islamic Finance and Business Review (TIFBR) is a double blind peer-reviewed journal published by the Institute for Research and Community Empowerment (IRCE), Tazkia University College of Islamic Economics in collaboration with Association of Islamic Economics Lecturers (ADESY). The Journal is issued twice per year. The aim of the journal is to disseminate Islamic Economics, finance and business researches done by researchers both from Indonesia and overseas.

All papers are written in English. The editor receives manuscripts that have not been sent to other journals for publication. Notes for contributors are presented at the end part of this journal.
